WhatAreKidsSaying.com is proud to receive an official endorsement from The Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care. The Division of Child Care is the State’s lead agency in planning and implementing public child care policy, and is responsible for the licensing and monitoring of child care facilities; managing the childcare assistance program (CCAP) for eligible families; administering child care grants and quality initiatives; and serving as the lead in implementing Federal child care programs. In a statement issued by Rosemarie Allen, the Director of the Division of Childcare, she says,"WAKS, addresses a critical need in our society. Often times, the views of children go unheard and they are made to feel powerless. What are Kids Saying.com provides a vehicle for self expression and empowers youth to communicate their feelings. Studies show that when children are encouraged to communicate, express themselves, make choices and act on them, they are far more likely to graduate high school, avoid delinquent behavior and are more likely than their peers to be successful.
