for a while I just sit there, in the cooling shade of my favorite tree. everything is perfect. perfect as can be, under my favorite tree that loves and adores the company of me. soon I tire just sitting there, and so I start to climb up its smooth, brown bark...up into the branches so high. I start to slip, but it catches me, and lets me know I'm safe...even when the wind pushes me, and when I look out at the sky up high because its my favorite tree, that loves and adores me.

"Year 2010"

What are your plans for 2010? There's plenty! Fan of the Olympics? Check out the 2010 Winter Olympics, February 12th-28th! Many athletes from different nations are taking part in the Olympic games in Vancouver, Canada! Are you wondering if there's going to be some good movies to see?

Here's a hot list! :

1. Shrek Goes Fourth -Whether you want to see what smelly things Shrek is up to or how talkative Donkey's gotten, go for this film!

2. Ramona & Beezus -Do you like the book? Think it's funny? Then how do you think the movie is going to be!

3. Toy Story 3 -You've waited for this moment, now it's coming! See what Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and all your favorite toys are up to!

4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One -I may not be a Harry Potter fan, but I know that the people who are fans are going to love this!

5. The Dawn Treader -Number four in the Chronicles of Narnia! Just a few more 'til the very end!

If you're not in the mood for a movie (which I doubt), then you can check out the television shows! How 'bout iCarly? They're going to keep on putting on hilarious hijinks! Look out what's coming your way -exploding, smashed, or set on fire!

Are you a SonicX fan? (I know I am!) Rumor goes around that Season 4 is coming out on June! (I hope!) Watch out for your favorite characters! :

Sonic the Hedgehog -the speedy, chili-dog-loving hedgehog. He's always ready to speed things up a little!

Knuckles the Echidna -Mister Tough-Guy himself! Don't get him angry, or you'll be looking for a fight with some spiked fists!

Miles "Tails" Prower -the bright, brainy fox! Ride the X-Tornado or the Blue Typhoon with him!

Amy Rose -the cute and pretty but hammer-whielding, pink hedgehog! Eh, but . . . you may want to keep her away from Sonic, seeing she has MAJOR issues about him . . .

Rouge the Bat -Talk about flirt! Watch the master jewel thief flirt with Knuckles (who she has a slight crush on) and steal the Chaos Emeralds!

Shadow the Hedgehog -He may look calm and collected, but he's prepared for battle just any old time! Shadow had vanished last time we saw him, giving himself to save everyone. But if you watched the Japanese version, we had seen his shadow by the grave of his friend. For sure, he's coming back, and hopefully, he will succeed in remembering his mysterious past again.

Cream the Rabbit & Cheese the Chao -These two cuties are the gentle helping hands of the group! They are sweet, but they're also fiercely protective of their friends!

Ivo Robotnik, a.k.a. Dr. Eggman -The so-called "genius" is back! Will he succeed in his plan to take over Mobius and create his Eggman Empire?

Chris Thorndyke -Sonic's human friend, Chris was last seen being sent into space and time back to Earth. Has he returned safely? If not, will Sonic come to the rescue?

Cosmo the Seedrian -Tails' crush, the plant-like, alien girl had sacrificed herself to save the galaxy. Has she survived? Will she return? With hope, YES.

That's only part of the plans for 2010, which, according to the Chinese zodiac calender, is the Year of the Tiger. Those born this year will be courageous, confident, and strong-willed. So, what are your plans?

"High School Novelists"

Every November a rather little-known event rolls around called NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. The goal of it all is to write at least 50,000 words by the end of the month, so about thirty days. Many well known books have sprung about due to this challenge, such as the New York Times bestseller Water For Elephants.

But this year, a group of high school juniors and their AP English teacher decided to take part in NaNoWriMo. The class, Mr. Vialpondo's AP English juniors at Pomona High School in Arvada, Colorado, had a grand total of 30 novelists at the end of the month, plus Mr. V. Overall, all of those novelists made up over 10% of the Denver Chapter Participants.

All participating students were apart of the Pomona Arts and Humanities program (PAH, for short), and specialize in either Theater, Vocal music, instrumental music, or Visual Arts.  These students accomplished something many grown-ups only dream about, proving that with dedication and some hard work, kids and teens can do anything they so chose.

The adults of America know him as ex-Bronco linebacker, but the gifted youth of America know him as something more; an opportunist. After eight years in the NFL (Seven of which he dedicated himself to the Denver Broncos), football player Ian Gold, 31, has started a new passion. One that is touching the hearts, souls, and eyes of our youth and adults alike. Recently, our ex-star has promoted a new website designed to enrich children and teens ages seven through seven-teen to become involved in writing what is on their mind at WhatAreKidsSaying.com.

As quoted in Go Upstate.Com, Gold tells students, "You guys are standing on the edge of the rest of your life."

This site (designed and maintained by Ian Gold, has helped to secure a safe environment online) is meant for the teens of America to have a safe place to go to share their thoughts, feelings and a plethora of their writing skill, as well as parents to acknowledge and embrace the minds of children. With a maximum, pedophile-proof system, the parents can also feel safe knowing their child is in no danger. Without being able to contact any other user or gain their information, WAKS ensures that every teen and young adult is well taken care of and has no risk of losing personal information.

Gold has taken a step in the right direction for our youth. After all, they are our future. By giving them a chance to express themselves through the creative art of writing, Gold has "opened a door into the hears and minds of children."
